Easter Sampler - finished?

I am thrilled to pieces with this sampler!! Head on over to Novalee02 to see all the wonderful finishes for this.

I have a question: When do you consider a stitched piece finished?? When the stitching is done? Or when it has been made up into something or framed? It would be nice to add this to my finishes for this year RIGHT NOW - but somehow I'm not quite convinced that it's totally done. What do you do?

For me the stitching is done when I feel it really doesn't need anything any more. Sometimes the final thing is to attach a bead or two, sometimes it's the finding the right framing, or purpose of using. This one would make a lovely pillow is my idea, with some lovely either single coloured background fabric or something in spring theme.

For me it depends. Normally I consider something finished when all stitching and eventual embellishments is done.
In my opinion you can add this to your finishes right now...lol.
Look at it like that...first you FINISH it....then you do something with it or put in in your pile of finished things. :)

Your Easter Sampler is adorable, Connie.
I put pieces into two finished categories; the stitched finish & the finished finish. This definitely falls under a stitched finish and should be added to your 2011 list of finishes.

It's beautiful...I love it!! Technically I think it's not finished til it's framed or made into the item. I know I have a piece waiting to be framed. I know it's going to cost a lot to get the frame so I've been procrastinating...oh, well...
you definitely get extra bonus points for finishing the stitching by Easter...yay :)
