I have been working on this stocking almost every night and it feels like there has been almost no progress at all :o( Good thing I am not really minding the backstitch so much anymore.
This is the last picture I took.
This is what it looks like now. I think you might need a magnifying glass to see the difference!
The new book I am immersed in right now. I can't seem to put it down!

Wow, it looks amazing. Its a legit work of art and I am so jealous of it... I couldn't imagine all the time it took to do that much of it... I can't say enough good things about it.
wow....that is just gorgeous!! Slow and steady gets it done right!!!
Comparing your two photos reminds me of those puzzle games where you have to find what's missing. :-D I can definitely see the progress. This is a very detailed and beautiful project!
It looks gorgeous :) But then I am a sucker for handmade stockings!
Beautiful! I made needlepoint stockings for my parents one year: Dad got a stocking filled with stuffers and Mom got a box of stuffers and a promisory note. Just FYI - they were both thrilled. Hang in there! They're totally worth it!
That is gorgeous!
We have a gal at my local SnB that needlepoints stockings, too. I have to hand it to you both...you're really talented.
Beautiful stocking, I've considered trying one but haven't found "the" one yet.
