My First Weaving Project

My first ever weaving project is finally off of my loom!!
The end of the weaving - I didn't have very much waste left.  Now I am using those end pieces to knit hexis!!
These are the cut ends still sticking out of the reed.
The other side with the weaving.  Boy was I scared to cut those threads!!  I kind of thought everything might just blowup, unravel, and I would be left with a huge pile of string :o)
Well, good to know that nothing too extreme happened!  It was just unwound and unhooked the fabric  from the loom.
 After it's "haircut".
 Both ends hemmed.
Now we have a nice runner on the piano.

I have started classes at Custom Handweavers and am totally loving them and our teacher.  She is so knowledgeable and nice.  Her teaching style suits me to a "T"!  I have just finished the first class and cut my placemats from the her loom and have started the second class called "Patterns".  I am in the process of dressing the loom.  Can't wait to start the weaving!!

Look over at Tami's for more finished objects!
